Whether you’ve stayed out a little too late, your allergies are out of control or it’s just hereditary– we’ve all had moments where our under eye area was looking a bit puffy. I’ve got a fool proof way to cover dark circles and under eye bags. Read on to see how I fake a full night’s sleep with just a few pats of concealer.

How to cover dark circles and under eye puffiness to fake a full night's sleep.

Step 1: Color Correct

Darkness under your eyes can be cancelled out with an orange color corrector. This also works well for covering dark marks and hyper pigmentation. I use Make Up For Ever 5 Camouflage Cream Palette in Dark 4 and blend the orange color corrector onto my under eye area with my ring finger because it has the lightest touch– perfect for the delicate under eye area.

Step 2: Apply Concealer

Choose a concealer that is 1 to 2 shades lighter than your skin. I like L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer in Toffee. Use a flat concealer brush to apply concealer at the very bottom where the puffiness under your eyes is. Then use your finger to blend up.

Step 3: Set with powder

This step is integral to keeping your makeup in place all day. Either choose a translucent powder or a powder the same shade as your skin and apply a light layer to the under eye area with a fluffy brush.

All done, that’s how to cover dark circles!
