With Halloween behind us and the holidays on the horizon, I’m beginning the process of transitioning my wardrobe to accommodate the fall and winter weather. Over the past year, I’ve managed to cultivate my personal style to be more feminine and chic. Living in NYC, our colder months last more than half of the year.

This means I’ve had to figure out a way to make my feminine style work– even in the cooler months. That presented its own set of challenges because one often associates feminine clothing with items that are soft pink, dresses, skirts and such. Those aren’t exactly conducive to staying warm in the dropping temperatures, but alas where there’s a will, there’s a way.

I paired this darling pink duster jacket with a soft pink heat tech turtleneck to keep me warm without looking bulky. To bring a bit of depth and interest to the look, I opted for this gorgeous deep green, pleated velvet midi skirt. It’s a lot warmer than it looks because of the velvet fabric. Plus, this skirt is lined.

When channeling a chic feminine look, accessories are particularly important in the colder months, because these items will carry your outfit when you inevitably have to choose function over fashion when it comes to garments. I decided to center this outfit around my new rose gold Casio G-SHOCK Watch from their MS line.

The rose gold hardware and the delicate feminine details of the watch bring a refined, upscale aesthetic to any outfit. The watch is just as functional as it is beautiful. It’s shock resistant and water resistant, so you don’t have to worry about getting caught in the rain.

Additionally, I adorned my neck with a simple rose gold pendant necklace to complement the G-SHOCK watch. My go-to criss-cross pavé diamond ring, black structured vegan leather bag, and pink suede pumps completed the look.
