With the rapidly dropping temperatures, I start to feel a bit uninspired with my wardrobe. When I wake up in the morning it’s so much harder to get out of my warm bed to go out into the freezing temperatures outside. After a very fruitful trip to Zara, I’ve found some new pieces to inject some fun into my wardrobe and make me excited to get dressed, even if it is freezing outside.
When I went to Zara, I picked up these darling culottes. If you know me, you know how much I used to hate culottes– like with a burning passion. Since then, I’ve had a change of heart. Culottes are amazing for the following reasons:
They are comfortable and loose
They’re like sweatpants but you can wear them to work.
They are super on trend
I’m not one to blindly follow trends, but when I find a trend that I can get on board with it makes me a smile a little on the inside.
Culottes are all that fit me right now
JK. But seriously, culottes are so forgiving. Don’t we all need that during the holiday season?
Bonus points for having a French name
Culottes actually translates to panties in French. 😱
So now that you know why these babies are the best thing ever in life. Let’s take a look at how I styled them. I went full on French girl and paired these culottes with my favorite Breton Stripe shirt from H&M. I got it last year, but this is definitely a wardrobe staple. Hopefully, I can upgrade to a Saint James striped shirt in the near future. A girl can dream, right?
