All my life I’ve been plagued with oily skin. The thought of reaching into my purse and realizing that I’d forgotten my blotting papers would certainly send me into a downward spiral. For so long, I held the conviction that wearing moisturizer during the daytime simply wasn’t in the cards for me. Everything changed when I discovered the La Mer Moisturizing Matte Lotion. Then my friend suggested an impromptu trip to Rockaway Beach for the weekend and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to put the La Mer Moisturizing Matte Lotion to the test. I use quite a few La Mer products, so I had high hopes for this lotion as well– and it definitely delivered.
Upon initial application, I noticed that it’s lightweight formula made it easy to apply and sink into the skin. The true shocker was that it kept my face shine-free through laying out in the sweltering sun, running around on the beach and even after swimming. We were out at the beach for over 8 hours and my face was completely matte the whole time.
That’s no easy feat, as I’m usually a bit oily in my T-zone after an hour or two. This stuff is the real deal and if you’re looking to splurge on skincare, this is a great investment for anyone with oily skin.
