We’re a couple days into March and I was optimistic about the prospect of spring coming soon. Only to be disappointed with the news that we will be encountering yet another snow storm here in NYC tomorrow. I’ve had just about enough of this winter weather and I find myself eyeing flights to the Caribbean almost daily.
Although, as an eternal optimist, I like to look at the bright side of things– and boy did I find something bright! Our painfully prolonged winter gives me the opportunity to wear the newest addition to my wardrobe. This colorful statement coat from Stella Rose is absolutely gorgeous and certainly not for the shy.
It’s a neoprene trench coat with an intricate green tropical print throughout. When I went to Central Park to shoot this outfit with @_Jamoy, I received countless compliments from passers-by. I also had a very inquisitive squirrel follow me around the park. I like to think the little critter was admiring my statement coat too!
I paired the statement coat with a pink knitted top, distressed high-waist jeans, and pink suede pumps. I’m not a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, but I have a fondness for pairing pink and green together. The two colors complement each other so well. It’s a no-brainer.
